  • As I grew older, I realized there were still no safe products to fade the dark spots on my skin. I lived with discolored, dull, and dry skin—layering clothes to cover what I was too insecure to reveal.

    I tried the bleaching creams. They were harsh, toxic, and dangerous. So I turned to research. I learned that melanin-rich skin has a unique structure—it requires specific ingredients, gentle care, and deep hydration.

    That’s when COCOZOË was born. In 2013, I started mixing natural ingredients in my kitchen in Peachtree City, Georgia.

  • I poured my heart into every jar—formulating, packaging, and selling at Whole Foods, salons, malls, pop-ups, and anywhere a woman would give me five minutes and a bowl of water.

    We couldn’t scale. And in 2016, I stepped away to care for my ailing mother. The business slowed... but the calling never left. This vision was birthed in my heart by God—and I couldn’t rest until COCOZOË was reborn.

    In 2024, we relaunched with a new foundation, a clear mission, and the same unwavering faith.

    Because I believe every woman deserves to see her skin healed—and her story redeemed.

Founder of COCOZOË, and a woman with melanin-rich skin who knows what it's like to hide.

As a little girl, I battled a bacterial infection that left me with dark spots across my legs—scars that felt louder than my voice. I wore knee-high socks, even in summer, just to cover the shame. There were no safe, effective products for girls like me. No healing. Just hiding.

But years later, in a small kitchen in Georgia, God placed something in my spirit: What if your skin story could become someone else’s solution?

That’s how COCOZOË was born—clean, luxurious skincare crafted for women who are ready to stop covering up and start glowing boldly.
